About Us
New Shepherd Care was founded in 2018 by a grandson of three generations of healthcare professionals — his grandfather and father were both doctors, and his grandmother, Tina, was a nurse.

It was Grandma Tina who sparked everything. Living with dementia, she wanted to stay at home, and as her grandson lived with her, he saw firsthand how inconsistent, old-fashioned, and chaotic her care was.
Watching someone who had dedicated her own life to nursing receive such poor care wasn't just frustrating. It felt like a betrayal of everything the family stood for.
That experience became the mission: to build something better.

Today, New Shepherd Care is a CQC-rated Good domiciliary care agency providing home care across Hertfordshire, with our head office in the heart of Watford.
​​To keep the care we provide at the highest quality, we limit the number of clients we care for at any given time. This allows our team to develop a deeper understanding and relationship with each person we care for.
